Except for major shopping districts, universities, or other anomalous zones, Beirut is not a pedestrian city. I usually don't have to try at all to get this uninhabited look, especially since many of my favorite subjects are derelict if not abandoned.<br /><br />Also, I'm still a bit too shy to photograph people, but I'm really trying to overcome this inhibition.
