You've seen this arch before. It was at the other end of that passage under the road. It stayed with me, that lovely arch in the light, so I decided to get closer. It's wonderful.
Yes, but not nearly so often. The new Hariri Mosque down town is very beautifully ornamented with caved stone. But that's a very unusual building. Most of what goes up these days lacks any artisan's touch.
