I took the original (pre-purple) photo because of the amazing color progression from green to red to blue. Although all three colors are common in Beirut, seeing them all mashed up together was different, new.
So it's strange that although purple is unusual and novel it took away the variety of the original . . . so I don't think I like it as much.
Everybody's looking for something. Mary Ann is looking for the real Beirut, whatever that means. These are the photos she takes along the way.
