Double Helix

During a brief pause in the rain, the sun cast a shadow on this spiral stairway climbing the side of the Robert Mouawad Private Museum.

I liked how the stairway and its shadow made a double helix.

I've intended to post a map showing the location of the museum for quite some time.

The red arrow indicates the entrance. A wall runs around the entire garden surrounding the museum (the green area) so it's easy to miss the museum.

  2. Looks wonderful, would love to climb those stairs and see the view from the tower. The museum looks interesting too, but funny that they discriminate in the entry fees against foreigners... they figure that foreigners must be wealthier than natives and can afford it ? Or they want to discourage foreign visitors ?

    1. Well, it's particularly odd because it's a private museum (which I infer means that they are neither owned nor supported by Government funds). I'm really not sure what the reason is for the difference in fees.
In St. Louis, local taxes support many of the city's museums, the botanical garden, zoo etc., and so there are some benefits or discounts for locals. I guess it's only fair, but that could also be described as discrimination against out-of-town visitors.
