I took this picture because the window was so amazing, such a patchwork of boards and time and voids. But looking at it here, isolated and alone, it looks like it is emerging, coming forward out of the stucco.
Everybody's looking for something. Mary Ann is looking for the real Beirut, whatever that means. These are the photos she takes along the way.

Your right it does look like its emerging, breaking free of the building. Its an amazing window all shuttered up.

ReplyDeleteI love the textures. I'm drawn to windows and doors too, so this instantly appealed to me.
